Essiac Blend Tea 4oz

Essiac strengthens the immune system, improves well being, relieves pain, increases appetite, reduces tumor size, and extends survival. Some also claim that it cleanses the blood, promotes cell repair, restores energy levels, and detoxifies the body. The different herbs are claimed to relieve inflammation, lubricate bones and joints, stimulate the stomach, and eliminate excess mucous in organs, tissues, lymph glands, and nerve channels.
Considerations: No warnings when taken in moderation, other than burdock which may interfere with iron absorption.
Prepare:
Bring 1 ½ qts of distilled water to a boil, add 1 oz of Essiac blend (do not use a microwave). Cover and boil for 10 min. Remove from the burner, scrape down the insides, stir well and let sit for 12 hours. Reheat to almost boiling, for 10 min. Cool just a little and then pour into another larger pot through a fine strainer. You may want to strain several times, but you will have some sediment and that is okay. Reheat one more time 2 or 3 min. to kill any bacteria that may have landed in the tea during straining. Pour in glass jar (canning jars work great) and refrigerate. Maintenance: 3 oz. per day, 1 hr before meals. Do not take with medications; allow 2-3 hours before drinking the tea.
