Traditional medicinal uses of Rooibos in South Africa include alleviating infantile colic, asthma/respiratory and dermatological problems. Many cosmetic companies now use Rooibos in their formulas because it promotes healthy skin. Rooibos contains the following minerals: Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Natural Sodium (3.42 mg per 8 oz), Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Iron, alpha-hydroxyl and Fluoride. Traditional use: Add 6-8 ounces of freshly boiled water to1 tsp. of herb. This tea can steep up to 20 min without becoming bitter. The longer it steeps the more antioxidants that are released into the tea. You can make approximately 80+ cups per 8 oz. bag depending on personal taste.
